- Port Department conceived planned and successfully implemented the e-Procurement in First ever among all the Kerala State Departments.
Major Achievements 2020- 21
- Construction of Container cum Passenger Terminal in Kollam Port completed.
- Beypore godown repaired. Highmast light installed at Beypore Port.
- Procurred to 450 HB Tug for Azhikkal and Beypore Port.
- Upgradation of Vizhinjam Azhakulam road work completed.
- Provide barbed wire fencing and resurfacing yard at Vizhinjam Seaward Wharf.
- CCTV installed at Alappuzha Port.
- Maintenance work of Alappuzha Training Hall completed.
- Construction of Leaward Wharf road at Vizhinjam completed.
- Rectification of Breakwater at Vizhinjam Seaward work in progress.
- Rectification of Breakwater at Vizhinjam Leaward wharf at initial stage.
- Construction of Administrative Building at Kollam.
- MT Malabar and MT Chaliyar deployed at Vizhinjam Port for Crew change operations.
- Crew change for 150 vessels completed successfully as on 15/02/2021 with 2400 Crew sign of and sign on.
