Honorable Minister for Ports, Museum, Archeology and Archives Shri. Ahammad Devarkovil visited Maharashtra Maritime board to learn from their success story. The Kerala Maritime Board came into existence in the year 2018 where as the Maharashtra Maritime Board was established in the year 1996. The Gujarat Maritime Board was founded way back in 1982. Comparing these Boards, KMB is very young and trying to learn from their models. Though the state of Kerala is lacking industries, infrastructure etc., compared to these states, we have a great maritime history and moderate infrastructure and got a great potential for development.

The Hon'ble Minister also visited his Maharashtra counterpart Shri. Aslam Shaikh at his official residence and Shri. Amit Sani, CEO, Maharashtara Maritime Board made a presentation before the Minister.

CEO Kerala Maritime Board Shri. TP Salim Kumar and Addl. Private Secreatry to Minister Shri. Anwar Sadath accompanied the Hon'ble Minister. They later visited Dhramtar Port.
