Vizhinjam Port

Overview
Vizhinjam port is situated 16km south of Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala state, south India. The port is merely a 10 nm diversion from international east-west shipping route and is also close to national/regional road and rail network. The port have two berths; seaward and leeward berths. Both have length of 80m. The seaward wharf is complying ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) level 1. The sea is 23 to 27 metres deep at 3nm from the coast. International crew changing operation commenced since July 2020. More than 730 foreign crew changes conducted yet.
